It’s always a good idea to keep an eye on the markets as plenty can be learned from doing so. Although there are never any guarantees in this game, you can gauge the level of confidence behind a horse. There’s one runner in particular at Plumpton on Monday that is the subject of major market support.
The horse in question was previously as big as 33-1 and has been backed into just 12-1. We’ll take a detailed look at the lightly raced horse’s chances below. Why not check out our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing and our Cheltenham Festival page.
No No Fizz goes in the opening race of the card at Plumpton for trainer Charlie Longsdon. This mare has had just two starts over hurdles so far and the first of those was particularly underwhelming. Pulling up at Hereford that day, the winner is a smart prospect but she showed little and was never in the race.
There were small signs of improvement at Huntingdon last time out, where she was a 25-length sixth. The form of that race has worked out pretty well and a couple of subsequent winners have come out of it. This includes the winner who scored in a Grade 2 at Sandown on her next start.
Obviously further improvement will be required if she’s to feature here but this is definitely her easiest task to date. She’s entitled to progress and from what limited knowledge we have of her, the six-year-old probably will take a step forward. It will have to be a big one if she’s to get off the mark here.
