‘It pays to be prominent’ – four pacesetters form Lucky 15 at Ballinrobe 🍀

In a similar way to Catterick in Britain, Ballinrobe tends to have a bias towards horses who race up with the pace. It pays to be on prominent racers so with this in mind, we’ve picked out four runners at Ballinrobe’s meeting on Tuesday evening who fit this criteria. 4.30 Ballinrobe

Prince Of Verona (7-1, bet365) likes to make the running and can have a big impact here if sharpening up his jumping. On the form of his second at Tramore two starts ago, this four-year-old has a very solid chance here. The sharp track which is suited to those who race up with the pace looks likely to help him so a big run could be on the cards.

5.00 Ballinrobe

Rebel Rose (7-2, bet365) raced prominently when a seven-length third at Bellewstown over 2m4f. She lost second on the run in but so the step down to an extended 2m1f here may well suit. Provided the shorter trip helps, hopefully she’ll have more left and will therefore be stronger at the finish. Her consistency suggests she is up to winning a maiden hurdle and this could be the day.

5.30 Ballinrobe

Tullypole Annie (11-2, bet365) was slightly disappointing at Killarney last time out. She did however win here over a similar trip three starts ago. That win came off a 10lb lower mark as she went up 7lb for that win and a further three for finishing second two starts ago. The handicapper was probably being a little harsh in not dropping her a pound or two for that effort. If you can forgive her latest run she should go well here in defence of her 100 per cent course record.

7.30 Ballinrobe

Karla Martina (9-2, bet365) will be dangerous when she learns to settle. Despite her self-destructive keenness, she has been fairly consistent of late. The step up to an extended 2m5f is an interesting move and if improving for the extra distance, she would have a decent chance off the same mark as an almost five-length defeat last time.
