50% race record: Venetia Williams takes aim with 37-1 double strike on Wednesday 🏇🏇

Venetia Williams has been in incredible form throughout this season with a 24 per cent strike-rate and an impressive prize money haul of over a million. We’ve picked out two of her runners on Wednesday who are running in races in which Venetia Williams has had two winners from just four runners in over the last decade. With 10 winners in the last fortnight, you can’t afford to ignore her runners and the two here could make up a 37-1 double. This is best priced with Hills at time of writing.

The 3.25 at Doncaster is the Virgin Bet Veterans’ Handicap Chase. Williams has previously won this race in 2015 and 2020 and is represented this year by Belami Des Pictons. This horse has been plagued by injury problems throughout his career and was once a promising novice chaser having won a novices’ chase by 33 lengths. The comeback run after 641 days off behind Snow Leopardess was encouraging before not appreciating the quicker ground at Ascot two starts ago. It was a good run behind Run To Milan at Exeter last time out back on his preferred soft ground. He is undoubtedly capable of winning one of these races off this mark of 134 and should go close here.

Next up is the 3.35 at Ludlow and the His Royal Highness The Prince Of Wales Amateur Jockeys’ Handicap Chase. This race has been run just four times and Williams has won the last two renewals so absolutely has to be feared as she makes her hat-trick bid. Her representative this year is Didero Vallis. His form this season has been below par and he hasn’t won for over a year. That being said, he definitely has a better chance than his price suggests. Didero Vallis’ last victory came in February last year off this same mark of 130 and if he is to get his head in front again, conditions look set to facilitate his fourth win over fences.
