4.10pm Sedgefield Tips and Betting Preview 03/10/2017

4.10pm Sedgefield tips for Tuesday’s Class 3 race. Some useful types are on show for this two mile handicap, with several top yards represented. Read on for our free betting tips, predictions and analysis.

IN SUMMARY: Hestina made all at Market Rasen when last seen over timber and if getting things her own way she’ll make it tough for these to pass. That said, none of these will get near OUR KYLIE. She won over course and distance when last seen in a good looking race for the grade and a four pound rise is very lenient considering she was well on top at the line. Kaine Wood continues to take seven pounds off her back and she should be very tough to beat. The main danger is Frederic who has won twice on the flat since his latest hurdling campaign and should post an improved display back over timber.

1 RAINY CITY – Bumper and triple hurdling winner for Paul Nicholls, but he started to lose his way for that yard towards the end of his tenure. He was well held in sixth when last seen and he makes his debut today for Iain Jardine in calmer waters. At his best he has each way chances here, but he does need to bounce back.

2 INK MASTER – Better known as a chaser for Donald McCain, winning three starts ago at Worcester, although he was well beaten over the same course and distance when last seen in August. He’s not badly treated over hurdles, but he does have work to do back in this sphere.

3 OUR THREE SONS – Deadly consistent for Jamie Snowden – with form figures of 11212 in 2017 – he was last seen at Fontwell when losing little in defeat to another in-form rival. He’s only a pound higher here and Paige Fuller keeps the ride and takes off five pounds, so he has obvious claims here with conditions fine.

4 HESTINA – Four-year-old mare who has won three of her last five starts, winning a Novices’ Hurdle at Market Rasen easily two starts ago. She was outclassed on the flat when last seen, but she’s not badly treated back over hurdles and if given a soft lead she will make it tough for anyone to pass.

5 FREDERIC – Lightly raced over hurdles, winning a Handicap at Market Rasen off a seven pound lower mark back in September 2016 and he’s won twice this year on the flat from four runs. He could easily be better than this mark and he’ll love the conditions, so is another to note.

6 OUR KYLIE – Arrives here in great form for Brian Ellison, winning a handicap over course and distance in ready style. The form of that race reads well and a four pound rise looks very lenient as she was well on top late on. She has a great strike rate over hurdles and can enhance it further here under seven pound claimer Kaine Wood.

7 CASH AGAIN – Yet to win over timber in four attempts for Paul Nicholls, with his debut for Ben Haslam once again resulting in another disappointing defeat. This is an easier race than what he’s faced in the past, but he can only be watched off a mark that isn’t particularly kind.

8 HARTSIDE – Eight-year-old who is completely exposed in a field full of potential improvers, well beaten on his last three runs over both hurdles and on the flat. He looks completely up against it, despite being on a good mark, and others are readily preferred.
