Loughbrown Stakes tips for Sunday’s Group 3 race. Only a field of four go to post, but this still promises to be an interesting contest. Read on for our free betting tips, predictions and analysis.
IN SUMMARY: Rated seven pounds clear of this field, RENNETI should be very hard to beat if anywhere near his best for Willie Mullins. He slammed Ted Veale three starts ago at Galway and that horse has won twice since, with his latest run at Leopardstown highly respectable as he was off a huge weight. He has conditions to suit and it’d be a big shock if he was to be beaten here, with Stars Over The Sea and Wild Irish Rose to fight out second.
1 RENNETI – Quirky sort for Willie Mullins who is rated seven pounds clear of this field and looks imperious at the top of the market. He slammed Ted Veale at Galway back in August and that horse has won twice since, with his latest run at Leopardstown highly respectable as he was off a huge weight. He should be very tough to beat here under Pat Smullen.
2 STARS OF THE SEA – Last seen at Killarney in July winning a good quality race by a wide margin, making all in a small field. He has a good opportunity to do the same here and although he has something to find with Renneti, this should play to his strengths and he has to be respected.
3 RETURN ACE – Rated nineteen pounds inferior to the top rated horse and this mare has a huge amount to find here, arriving in poor form. She was well beaten on her latest start in a Listed race at Newmarket and this is tougher, so she’s very hard to fancy.
4 WILD IRISH ROSE – Three year old filly for Aidan O’Brien who kept on well at Doncaster ten days ago in a Group 2, with a step up in trip likely to suit. She does have to prove her stamina, but she’s unlikely to be far away if improving again and has to be considered for the minor honours.
