4.50pm Yarmouth Tips & Betting Preview 18/10/2016

This is a weak 0-60 handicap and certainly won’t take much winning. It looks a golden opportunity for ROBBIE ROO ROO to notch up his third win in his last four starts. The visor and tongue tie have helped transform this horse who sprung a 25/1 surprise at Redcar in August before following up at Wolverhampton last month. He was well down the field on his latest start at Nottingham but the trip was far too short for him and a much better run is expected here.

1 BAILEYS PURSUIT – Won off a mark of 62 at Lingfield last year but has been well down the field on all five starts since. Down to a mark of 60 now which probably still isn’t enough lease from the handicapper and looks very hard to fancy on his latest form. Course and distance winner in the past.

2 STATE OF THE UNION – Won a seller at Lingfield last year but has shown very little since. No promise shown on all six starts this year and although this is his first start for this yard, he will likely need the run at the very least. Easy to oppose.

3 CAPTAIN SCOOBY – Thoroughly exposed 10 year old who ran a great race at Newcastle over six furlongs last time out, travelling powerfully but just tiring into 4th late on. He will love any cut in the ground and is a massive player in this 0-60. Big each way chance.

4 ROBBIE ROO ROO – Much improved since connections put the visor and tongue tie on the horse, landing two six furlong handicaps at Redcar and Wolverhampton. Latest run can be forgiven over an inadequate trip and should have enough to land this moderate affair.

5 HUMOUR – Blinkers go on this Christine Dunnett trained horse for the very first time. Both of his career wins have come on the all weather so it is hard to fancy him on sticky ground at Yarmouth. Finished 13th of 14 runners at Leicester two weeks ago and is easily passed over.

6 ZIPPY – Very lightly raced filly who showed plenty of promise on debut when 2nd at Leicester this time last year. Good 3rd to Minminwin at Bath in September and again ran a solid race at Brighton last time when 4th to Essake. Sure to be thereabouts with more improvement expected.

7 TILSWORTH MICKY – Ran a fine race when 2nd at Chelmsford on debut but has yet to reproduce that sort of form since. Paul Hanagan is an interesting booking on this Jenkins trained horse but he is still very hard to fancy on current form. Best watched.

8 MULTI QUEST – Four year old filly who won a six runner handicap at Chelmsford earlier this year. She ran a very good race in a 0-60 over course and distance when 3rd back in July and a repeat of that run off a two pound lower mark would give her a massive shout.

9 BEDAZZLING LADY – Zebedee filly who is lightly raced but has shown very little on all four starts to date. She was destroyed on handicap debut at Chelmsford last time out and would be a very surprising winner if she were to land this.

10 TOUCH THE CLOUDS – Has now gone on a losing streak of 24 in a row and although he has some decent form in the book that would give him a chance here, he is not a reliable performer. Runs from one pound out of the handicap and looks an unlikely winner.

11 VOCALISE – All ten starts to date have been woeful and she is impossible to fancy on all known form. Decent seven pound claimer on board to make life easier but that is the only positive thing to say.
