How We Did It
The Greyhound Racing Tips have had a decent start to 2017 after a cracking twelve months previous but we needed a flagship day to get the ball rolling in fine style and this was most certainly it, with all bar one of the seven tips advised on this very site going on to be victorious – eroding recent memories where we had a couple of nice Acca’s going down by one selection on the last leg.
All of the tips ran at Romford on what was a cracking day’s racing and leg one of the Acca was Cassies Girl at 9/4. She is one of the most consistent top grade dogs around the track and from her favoured draw in T6, she pinged the gates, got into stride quickly and was simply never going to be caught. The others tried their best but she had far too much class and ran out a very comfortable winner.
The Mark Wallis trained Rubys Razzle came up next having been tipped at 7/4 and looked overpriced after meeting trouble in the Coronation Cup when defeated by our NB a week previous. This time, however, trouble was not forthcoming as she too got out quickly, put her best foot forward in the lead and then ground the others into submission. At the line, she was no fewer than six lengths clear of the rest!
Our NAP of the day was Maireads Ivy at 6/4 as she really blew us away with her last time out performance at Crayford on Boxing Day. She won by eight lengths on that day and was never going to repeat that margin, but did beat some classy opposition here after showing early pace to lead once again. One of her rivals got close enough late on but the bird had flown and we were dreaming of the Acca! 3/3, one to go…
Roswell Romanov, our Next Best, was the final Acca runner in the last broadcast race on the card and he was tipped at 4/5 knowing that if he got out quickly, the others weren’t going to catch him. The risk was that he mightn’t get to lead, for all that he can win from behind, but it turned out in the end that there were no worries as the machine sat where he wanted and would not come back to them when in the home straight.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!! 4/4 on the Acca, the NAP & NB, and 2/3 on the Single bets! What a fantastic day was had by all MRT Greyhound followers and if we’re being a bit greedy, the other Single was unlucky not to do better than second having been hampered as they flew into the first bend! Not to worry, though, you can be sure that before the year is out, we’ll land upon 7/7 winner some day! For now, the 6/7 will do!!
