Fleeting Moment has shown improvement with each of her four starts and she bumped into one when second on handicap debut last time. A similar effort might be enough this time around but her profile suggests there could be more to come.

Psychodrama hasn’t disgraced herself in three starts thus far and was runner-up, albeit by a wide margin, at Newcastle in November. Handicaps are likely to encourage significant improvement from Richard Fahey’s filly and she should be competitive here.
The favourite looks very opposable here and Richard Spencer’s Midnight City could be the one to take him on with. He only just failed to get up when second by a head in a 6f novice here last time out and that evidence suggests the step up in trip will be a big help.
The thrice-raced Comte De Loir should appreciate the switch to handicaps and it’s noted that he goes significantly up in trip here. An opening mark of 72 looks workable and the 4lb four-year-old allowance won’t go amiss either.
Path To Glory has only had three starts so far and she was very close to getting off the mark at the first time of asking when second by less than a length at Ripon in July. She makes the switch to handicaps here and an opening mark of 59 looks workable.
Tom Clover’s Harvard Sound won a maiden and a novice in good style at Lingfield last summer and wasn’t disgraced when third over course and distance on handicap debut. Now down to a 3lb lower mark, it’s unlikely that we’ve seen the best of him just yet.

Southwell is one of only 6 All-Weather tracks in the UK and is the only one with a Fibresand surface, therefore making it a unique course.
Surface: The Fibresand is different to other artificial surfaces in Britain, it’s more similar to dirt. It’s quite deep and therefore puts an emphasis on stamina for our tips. Horses that aren’t quite fit enough can get caught out.
Course: A mile and a quarter left-handed circuit with a straight 5 furlong chute.
Draw Bias: Over 5 furlongs it’s better for our tips to be drawn in the low numbered stalls. These are nearer the centre of the track and that is the supposed faster section.
