Showed very little in a Newbury bumper when trained by Emma Lavelle but won nicely on stable debut at Fontwell last May. Has failed to fire in three starts since but this is his second run after a wind op so much better is expected.
Point winner finished fourth in a 2m Uttoxeter maiden last April but he’s regressed since. Nonetheless, with his stable in decent form, the first-time cheekpieces could spark him back into life in a winnable contest.

Located in the Lincolnshire, Market Rasen is an oval track that stages racing year-round. It’s a National Hunt venue, with its high-profile meeting being Plate Day in the middle of July. Unlike most National Hunt venues, its best action is actually over the summer months.
Our Market Rasen tips, like all our horse racing selections, are posted in the evening the day before the meeting, with all tips for the following day up by 7pm, or 9pm if there is evening racing.
Over the past five seasons, Harry and Dan Skelton have dominated Market Rasen in terms of winners.
It’s a sharp, right-handed oval with a circuit of a mile and a quarter. It tends to suit nippy horses for our tips and due to the turns doesn’t really suit big galloping types. There is a long run-in from the final flight so it’s not unusual for a horse to win with a late surge.
The Summer Plate meeting in July is the highlight in the warmer months over obstacles. Both the Summer Hurdle and Summer Plate are both Listed Handicaps that attract good horses which will go on to be competitive in the winter.
