“Where Champions Are Made” is the slogan of Curragh Racecourse and it is certainly apt. Home of a number of the biggest Flat races in Ireland, with ten of Ireland’s twelve Group 1s being held here in 2007, the Curragh is at the centre of the Irish bloodstock industry, with a huge 26% of horses trained in Ireland being trained on the Curragh. Our Curragh Racecourse selections, like all our Irish tips, are posted in the evening the day before the meeting, with all tips for the following day up by 7pm, or 9pm if there are evening tips.
Ryan Moore is the Curragh’s leading jockey, which is no real surprise given the quality of racing at the venue. It’s even less of a surprise that Aidan O’Brien is leading trainer by a huge margin. You can find the key statistics for the Curragh above!
With racing commencing at the Curragh in the early 1700s, the course has evolved into a unique proposition as the course map shows. It includes a testing uphill finish, and our Curragh tips will generally look for galloping types with plenty of stamina.
