Rosieisme Darling showed little in three starts over 6f in novice company but a drop in trip combined with a switch to handicaps made a big difference at Wolverhampton last month. She finished second and could go one better if building on that effort here.
Raveena has a smart pedigree and she ran a cracker to finish second on her return after a break at Newcastle last month and a repeat performance might be enough here. This isn’t the deepest of novice races and the drop in trip can help her too.
Justcallmepete is in the midst of a purple patch at the moment and has won his last two starts, the most recent of which came over course and distance. A 3lb rise doesn’t seem too outrageous and he’s one to keep on side for now.

Chelmsford races around a oval of approximately a mile, and features two chutes to allow for racing at all distances from five furlongs to a mile. The sweeping bends and two furlong straights mean our tips look for galloping types.
Thanks to the track layout, there is no real draw bias for our tips to consider.
Racing at Chelmsford is of a high standard for All-Weather, with Mark Johnston and Godolphin regularly providing runners. While their feature race in terms of class is the Listed Queen Charlotte Fillies’ Stakes in June, their biggest day is at the start of September. The card in 2017 provided over £200,000 prize money, including the Chelmsford City Cup – an extremely competitive seven-furlong Class 2 handicap.
