York ITV outsiders on Friday: ‘Four-year-old’s have a great record in the race’

York Dante Festival

Adrian Wall is back with his weekly feast of ITV Racing outsiders and he has picked out two horses who should outrun their large odds live on TV at York Racecourse on Friday. Make sure you check out our free horse racing tips for the day, and remember, always bet responsibly.

1.50 York

Our Nap of the Day has been in terrific form the last couple of months and we’re currently fourth in the Racing Post Naps Competition and we think Track Of Time (40/1) is far too big a price in the opener. Nine of the last 10 winners of this race have been 4yos and with only three of that age in the field, Ian Williams’ runner could be a spot of value. William Buick has been booked to ride the three-time French winner who ran well in a pair of Meydan handicaps in January for Francis-Henri Graffard off higher marks and he’s well treated if he can put it all together here.

3.00 York

Kevin Ryan always targets this meeting and the stable is in fine fettle at present with two fine winners at Carlisle on Wednesday despite some runners not performing to their best at York on the day. King’s Call (50/1) produced a great turn of foot when making all in a 6f Ayr novice on debut was far from disgraced when sixth in the Molecomb Stakes at Goodwood. He finished three lengths behind Big Mojo on that occasion who is at the head of the market, but the gap isn’t insurmountable and I think he is a bit underestimated here in an open race.
