Having developed an interest in racing whilst in college some years ago, James has worked in many areas of the industry, including a stint hiding his face on radio! From 2008 until 2017, he ran a successful tipping service and has had shares in numerous horses including the wonderful Fast Shot. Unsurprisingly given some of the horses he has bought shares in, his punting passions lie in sprint handicaps on both the turf and All-Weather surfaces!

Horse Racing tipster James Boyle has picked out two Value Bets for Thursday’s action.

8:00 Chelmsford – Jack Berry House – 1pt win @ 15/2

JACK BERRY HOUSE was one of the selections on this column when he ran at Kempton last time and it was an encouraging performance over 7f, with the 3-year-old keeping on nicely to the line despite losing a shoe. Now he gets the chance to step up to a mile for only the second time and it should suit based on how he has finished his races the last twice. This will also be his first attempt in a Class 6 handicap and with Oisin Murphy booked, he should be mixing it with the best of these late on. 15/2 is fair.

8:30 Chelmsford – Mayfair Spirit – 1pt win @ 7/1

MAYFAIR SPIRIT faced a tough task in the valuable London Mile Final at Kempton last time but wasn’t entirely disgraced against some talented handicappers. This represents a major drop in grade back to a Class 4, 0-80 and I think the step back up to 1m 2f is a positive move; he has won over this far before and a possible slower early tempo will help him to hold a better racing position than he managed to the last twice. Quotes around 7/1 look at least a couple of points on the large side so I’m happy to play.
