6:30 Chelmsford – Harbour Vision – 1pt @ 6/1

HARBOUR VISION would be a double stake bet if I was certain about the pace in this race but I’m not! They could go slow early and sprint for home late, which wouldn’t be in his favour at all, but even so, he has lots going for him. Dropping in grade to a 0-75 being a major help whilst he also has a better draw than when beaten a couple of lengths over C&D at the beginning of September. Being freshened up since won’t do any harm either and there’s a fourth-course win in him before long.

7:00 Chelmsford – Alfie Solomons – 1pt @ 20/1

There will come a day when I stop getting lured into backing ALFIE SOLOMONS, but that day has not arrived yet! The 3-year-old is on a losing run of 14 following a second time out victory but it’s worth noting that success came on the All-Weather at Newcastle and on his sole run on an artificial surface since that, he had no luck over this C&D. It’s possible he could improve away from turf and he’s 12lbs below the mark he began this season racing off. With first-time blinkers in use, I’ll give it another go!
