Fast ground horse to watch at Bath

Thurso (2.50) finished stone last at Southwell just 13 days ago but the return to turf on fast ground could spark a revival. Richard Hughes’s runner has finished first and second on his only tries on either good to firm or firm, and he has fallen to a very attractive mark.

Fahey runner can enhance dominance in Beverley contest

Richard Fahey has won three of the last four runnings of the 5f novice sprint at Beverley and Navy Light (3.00) holds strong claims for the yard. The colt did his best work in the closing stages when fourth of seven in a 6f Ripon novice on debut last month and he can improve here from a nice draw.

Coolree bids for Beverley hat-trick

Coolree (4.35) is back for more! He won this extended mile handicap in both 2024 and 2025 and last time out gained a third C&D win eight days ago in a competitive affair. He could prove difficult to beat again.

580,000euros Kingman colt starts his career at Lingfield

Sporting the Juddmonte silks, Turret (5.50) is a €580,000 son of Kingman who is the second foal of an unraced half-sister to three Group 1 winners. Andrew Balding is in cracking form at present and if the money comes for this boy, it would be dangerous for all of his rivals.

Andy Slattery bids for four-timer in Killarney handicap

The Slatterys love a Killarney winner and have won this mile handicap the last three years in a row with three different horses. This years candidate is Chipsrdown (6.40) who was a good fifth at Leopardstown over 7f last month and the step up in trip should help.

Altior’s half-brother runs at Sligo

Casual Water (5.27) is Altior’s half-brother and the Willie Mullins runner will take his chance in the opening 2m2f maiden hurdle. He was beaten out of sight on debut at Limerick, though, so will need to find significant improvement.
