Three horses with proven records on stiff tracks form 74-1 treble at Hamilton ⛰️

Some horses appreciate an uphill finish and others can struggle badly. Hamilton is a track with a particularly prominent stiff finish, which makes this a significant factor. With this in mind, we’ve picked out three runners on Wednesday with proven records at tracks such Hamilton, Newcastle and Carlisle. Whilst others may struggle up the hill, these three should find another gear. Check out our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.

7.20 Hamilton

Northern Spirit (7-4, bet365) has improved dramatically since switching to handicaps and he’s been running very well at Newcastle of late. Winning there twice, he scored over this trip last time out and has been raised 4lb by the handicapper as a consequence. A stiff 6f clearly suits and that’s what he’ll be getting here. Provided he can translate his Newcastle form to the turf, he has every chance of continuing his progression here at Hamilton.

7.50 Hamilton

Vince Lombardi (9-2, William Hill) was an impressive winner over course and distance on his penultimate start. Added to that, Grant Tuer also has unbeaten record at Carlisle as he won his sole start there. With placed form at Newcastle and Pontefract, uphill finishes clearly suit and he would appear to have a huge chance in this race.

8.25 Hamilton

Soul Seeker (4-1, bet365) has won two of is four starts here at Hamilton and has finished runner-up twice over Beverley’s very stiff 5f track. This horse also loves quick ground and is likely to find conditions to his liking. It has been a while since he last won but everything seems to be coming together for him here and a return to the winners’ enclosure could be on the cards.
