Three horses that will love the ground at Goodwood form 114-1 Thursday treble 😍

Goodwood Racecourse

The clerk of the course at Goodwood changed the official going to soft, good to soft in places on Wednesday morning and further rain is expected. This means that there’s likely to be plenty of juice in the ground by Thursday. With this in mind, we’ve picked out three horses running at Goodwood that are likely to be suited by the underfoot conditions and they combine into a juicy treble. 3.00 Goodwood

Artistic Star (9-2, bet365) is very lightly raced still and his two wins have come on soft and good to soft. He has perhaps struggled to compete with the best of the best on quicker ground in his last two starts but the softer underfoot conditions here should bring him right back into this. There was certainly no disgrace in his third behind King Of Steel last time and the best is probably yet to come.

3.35 Goodwood

Blue Rose Cen (11-10, bet365) is an exciting French raider with an impeccable record on soft ground. Christopher Head’s filly is unbeaten in six starts on ground ranging from soft to heavy. Her impressive victory in the Prix de Diane last time out also suggests she’ll easily cope with conditions even if it dries up a little. This filly looks very good and it’ll be exciting to see her in action.

4.45 Goodwood

Novus (9-1, bet365) is unbeaten in two starts on soft ground which has to bring her right into this. Gary Moore’s filly was a solid second here on Tuesday and is a previous course winner. That course victory came off just a 2lb higher mark back in May. The easier ground has the potential to facilitate further improvement and she could go one better this time around.
