We have a rare midweek treat on our hands this week, with ITV action on Tuesday and Wednesday. Cheltenham‘s two-day April fixture kicks off on Wednesday and Newmarket‘s Craven Meeting also continues. There are plenty of runners, which leads to lots of opportunity for an each-way play.
MyRacing is here to help and we have selected three outsiders at substantial prices that are more than capable of outrunning their odds. Go ahead and check out our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.
Majestic Wave (25/1, bet365) may have been unfairly overlooked here, as he ran very well to finish fourth in a decent race on stable debut at Lingfield. The son of Sergei Prokofiev didn’t get the smoothest of passages through and if improving for the run, he should be in the mix once again.
American Sniper (20/1, betfred) is a previous course winner and David Pipe’s seven-year-old is down to a very attractive mark here. All four of his wins have come on good to soft or good so the decent ground at Cheltenham should be to his liking. His aforementioned track success came over a similar trip and off this very mark so now is perhaps a good time to catch him with that in mind.
Harper’s Brook (22/1, bet365) won off a 1lb lower mark at Wetherby in December and had more in hand than the official margin suggests. Dan Skelton’s gelding has a fair record on good ground and he has won several times over this sort of trip in the past. Perhaps his inconsistent profile is reflected in the price and he’s more than capable of running a big race if on a going day.
