Horse racing is in Liam's blood and his biggest passion is jumps racing. He can often be found at his favourite tracks; Chepstow and Cheltenham in the Autumn when the National Hunt action kicks off. The Cheltenham Festival is over for another year but there’s still some great racing to look forward to on Saturday. Uttoxeter hosts the Midlands Grand National and their first four races will be broadcast on ITV. Kempton offers up a further three races for the schedule and the action should be very competitive. Here are three outsiders who could outrun their substantial prices and they include a Venetia Williams runner in the big one. Firestream (22/1, bet365) was entitled to need the run when pulling up on his first start for a year at Chepstow last month and deserves another chance or two. The son of Yeats won two of his five starts over hurdles for previous connections and should be competitive off this sort of mark. Trainer Chester Williams has had two winners from five runners in the last fortnight and that bodes well here.

2.40 Kempton

Nardaran (14/1, Betfred) made a good start to the season, winning a couple of handicaps in good style, but something was amiss at Plumpton after that. Last seen finishing behind Constitution Hill on the Flat, he deserves another chance over this sort of trip and he’s starting to slip down the weights. This looks like a good opportunity to get back on track.

Alcedo (20/1, Boylesports) beat Grand Geste at Newcastle in November and that horse has since gone on to win the Tommy Whittle and a Grand National trial. Venetia Williams landed a Cheltenham Festival winner on Wednesday so the the yard will be bouncing, and perhaps the new trip will suit. The trainer tends to de well in marathon handicap chases and this horse has scope for improvement.
