Adrian Wall is back with his weekly feast of ITV Racing Outsiders and he has picked out two horses who should outrun their large odds on Saturday. He is in red hot form with 40-1, 20-1 and 14-1 winners last month and he is confident that he can find the winner’s enclosure again soon. Best of luck if you have a play and remember, always bet responsibly.
Tim Easterby has won two of the last three renewals of this race with Golden Apollo and Staxton, and he has another strong chance this year with Hyperfocus. The eight-year-old just missed out on a place in the Gold Cup, but he is a couple of pounds lower than when a respectable seventh in this race two years ago and arrives here off the back of a big run in third at Doncaster. The yard have been in red hot form of late and although they have three in this, I like the chances of this horse the most.
Mr Wagyu is one of the busiest sprinters around, winning a valuable pot at Epsom in June and since then he was fourth in the Wokingham, won the Scurry at the Curragh, finished 10th in the Stewards’ Cup, finished fifth at York and was narrowly denied in third for a massive pot at the Curragh just six days ago. This boy loves his racing, was third in this last year and a huge run is forecast. John Quinn has done very well with his sprinters in big handicaps over the years and fitness shouldn’t be an issue for this horse who is clearly thriving at present.
