‘The further he goes, the better’ – trainer buzzing about 25-1 Cheltenham hope 💪

Syd Hosie has been an owner for a fair while but he’s new to the training ranks. He goes into his first Cheltenham Festival as an owner/trainer with one horse he believes could go all the way. Cheltenham Festival winners are hard to come by for trainers, even the champion trainer has found them difficult to find in recent years. It would be quite some achievement for Hosie to get one so quickly in his career and he cannot wait to unleash his horse.

Albert Bartlett Novices’ Hurdle

Rock My Way burst onto the scene with a Grade 2 victory over 2m5f at Cheltenham on Trials Day. Henri The Second was back in fourth that day and had previously won a Grade 2 at Sandown, adding some substance to the form. His trainer cannot wait for the Festival to come around so he can unleash him. The horse is available at 25-1 for the Albert Bartlett with some firms.

Hosie Said: “He’s going really well at home. He’s exactly like he was before he won at Cheltenham. All of a sudden he’s come out of his shell again and has started to prick his ears at everything. He’s getting a bit lively, so the sooner Cheltenham comes, the better.”

The rookie trainer is particularly excited about stepping his charge up in distance to three miles for the first time. He added: “I can’t wait to run him over three miles; he’ll be a better horse over it.” Emphasising this, he also stated: “the further this lad goes, the better.”
