JP McManus has been one of National Hunt racing’s biggest owners for a number of years and he is showing no signs of stopping. Synonymous with Cheltenham Festival success, he has several ante-post favourites for 2025. With that in mind, we’ve selected four of his strongest chances to combine into an accumulator which the bookies won’t want to see. Have a look at our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.
The absence of Sir Gino has left the door open for Irish Arkle winner Majborough (8/15, betfair) here. The Willie Mullins-trained gelding has made a very good impression in two chase starts so far and has the perfect physique for the job, despite only being a five-year-old.
Jonbon (4/5, betfair) appears to have finally grown up this year and the £570,000 gelding has been faultless so far this season. He comfortably got the better of Energumene in the Victor Chandler Chase last time out and it’s hard to find a sensible candidate to take him on with here.
Fact To File (7/4, betfair) blew everyone away with his easy win in the Brown Advisory at Cheltenham last year. Willie Mullins’ gelding looked like he only joined the race with three fences left and could hardly have been more impressive. His high cruising speed and accurate jumping make this the perfect target, with Galopin Des Champs standing between him and Gold Cup glory.
Perhaps slightly better over shorter, the very talented mare Dino Blue (9/4, betfair) was only narrowly denied when second in this race last year. She returned to form with victory at Naas recently and there’s every chance she can go one better at Cheltenham this time around.
