Stuart Crawford sends two horses owned by his most high-profile owners from his County Antrim base to Ayr on Monday. The familiar green colours of Isaac Suede and Simon Munir will be on show and the pair will be looking to pick up their fourth and fifth winners in the last fortnight. Retained rider Daryl Jacob makes the trip up to Scotland to ride both horses. He’s been in fine fettle recently with a strike-rate of 31 per cent. Peaceful Sunday is lightly raced over hurdles with just five starts under his belt. Connections have wasted no time in sending him over fences which could be significant. There were excuses for a below-par effort at Punchestown last time as he scoped badly after the race. Beat two subsequent winners when shedding his maiden tag at Fairyhouse three starts ago. Fell here two starts ago and was still in contention despite being pushed along when falling three out. Drops back to two miles here and shouldn’t be ruled out if taking to fences.
Royal Tale runs in the last race of the day, a bumper over two miles. There was plenty to like about her debut effort at Punchestown, her only run to date. Punchestown Festival bumpers are usually strong so finishing fifth on debut was a good effort. With two Mullins horses and a Gordon Elliott runner in front of him, the form of that race is likely to stand up. She’d be unfortunate to bump into anything of that calibre here which will make life easier. With the benefit of that run under her belt, progress looks likely on her second start.
