Friday is set to be a busy day for the ITV cameras, with 10 races being shown live across three meetings. That means plenty of opportunities for an each-way play so we’ve selected four horses at bigger prices that are capable of outrunning their odds. These include a 40/1 shot at Newmarket that is going the right way and may have been overlooked. Check out our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.
Mirabeau (16/1, William Hill) struggled on debut over 6f but it was a very different story when upped to 7f next time. He pulled clear in smart style to win by three-and-a-half lengths and is entitled to step forward again. Dominic Ffrench Davis’ colt shouldn’t be written off here.
Naina (40/1, betfair) perhaps isn’t a conventional selection here but she’s won four of her last five starts and has earned her place in this field. Obviously she’s vulnerable to some classier rivals but she’s clearly going the right way and this looks like a massive price.
This £30,000 veterans’ chase looks fiercely competitive and Christian Williams’ runner Strictlyadancer (16/1, William Hill) has sunk to a nice mark. He was a prolific winner in the autumn of 2021, where he won twice at Cheltenham and off 122 at Haydock. Currently on a mark of 119, he looks ready for a return to the winners’ enclosure.
Trouville (18/1, bet365) remains lightly raced, especially in handicap company, and it was a much improved effort when fourth behind Kildare Legend at Doncaster last month. He’s 5lb better of with that rival this time around and there should be plenty more to come.
