Saturday ITV Outsiders: 33-1, 20-1 and 9-1 horses can outrun their odds

Adrian Wall is back with his weekly feast of ITV Racing outsiders and he has picked out three horses who should outrun their large odds on Saturday. Make sure you check out our free horse racing tips for the weekend, and remember, always bet responsibly.

1.50 Newmarket

Our Nap of the Day runs in this race and will prove very hard to beat, but if you are looking for some each way value, then Richard Hannon’s Son might be the answer. He was an impressive maiden winner at Newbury on fast ground so conditions will be in his favour and he was only beaten a couple of lengths in the Vintage Stakes at Goodwood in August. At the prices, he is far too big.

2.05 Chester

I am surprised to see Pons Aelius such a juicy price so I am happy to have a bet on the Charlie Johnston runner. The son of Galileo finished second here at the May Meeting prior to opening his account for the season at Goodwood in June. Having to run from out of the weights isn’t ideal but coming back to Chester should bring out improvement.

2.40 Haydock

Mondammej won this race two years ago and looks far too big a price to ignore, despite arriving here out of form. Antony Brittain’s charge is now 5lb lower in the weights from when he won the race in 2021, and he was only beaten a couple of lengths here off 3lb higher earlier in the month. Everything looks set for a big effort from his current rating and drying ground will be a help.
