Wednesday was a good day for Ryan Moore, as the world’s best jockey won the first three races on the card at Goodwood, including the dramatic dead-heat in the Oak Tree Stakes. It’s Day 4 of Glorious Goodwood on Friday and he returns to the track for two more rides.

King Of Cities got off the mark at the second time of asking as a juvenile, scoring in a Class 2 novice at Chester last August. Keeping on well to finish second under a penalty at Newbury after that, it was clear that Richard Hannon’s colt possesses ability.
He began the current campaign with a good second in a Listed contest over 1m1f at Newmarket and followed that up with a four-length defeat in the Prix du Jockey Club. Well beaten behind Opera Ballo next time, it’ll be tough to reverse the form but no horse is unbeatable, as we saw with Field Of Gold.
Skukuza arrives here in excellent form and is seeking to complete a hat-trick. The son of Blue Point had plenty in hand when winning a valuable handicap in Ireland on his penultimate start. It appears that this lightly raced sort is improving quickly this season.
Ed Dunlop’s four-year-old only carries a 3lb penalty for his most recent success in a Listed race at the Curragh and that form suggests he should be well ahead of the handicapper. With that in mind, anything other than victory here would be disappointing.
