Gavin Cromwell has firmly established himself as an excellent dual-purpose trainer. Having trained numerous Cheltenham Festival winners, he earned a win Royal Ascot on Saturday. Snellen won the Chesham Stakes for the Irish trainer, getting the better of the Aidan O’Brien-trained favourite.
Confidence must be high in the yard after such a major victory and he has six runners across three races at Ballinrobe on Monday. We’ve put his three best chance into a 41-1 treble. Check out our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.
Cyber Attack (15-8, bet365) probably ran better race at Listowel last time than her finishing position suggests. The runaway winner exaggerated the result that day. On the evidence of her narrow third at Dundalk in December, she looks capable of getting off the mark at this level. Her sire stayed 1m2f so this extended 1m1f could well be suitable, despite the speedier pedigree on her dam’s side.
Point Audemer (5-2, bet365) got off the mark over hurdles in January and hasn’t been seen on the Flat for over a year. He has a solid record in his two starts under this code, finishing third on debut and getting off the mark next time. This is his handicap debut and there could be plenty more to come in this sphere.
Vera Verto (7-2, bet365) was unfortunate to bump into one at Fairyhouse last time out and finished well clear of the third. There’s every chance she can go one better here off the same mark and it looks like a great opportunity to return to the winners’ enclosure.
