myracing Greyhound Syndicate Update – 24th September 2018

myracing Greyhound Syndicate

This week’s latest syndicate update comes from one of our syndicate managers David Mitchell:

Droopys Hyde Taking Over As Top Dog

I never thought I’d hear myself say it but Droopys Hyde has certainly turned a corner since arriving back at Crayford. It’s hard to believe that he’d even win a race around here never mind climbing the heights to S2 level. We are all aware of the problems Herbie was having at the start of his career, he just couldn’t handle the tight bends and that was causing him all sorts of problems. We all knew that he had a decent level ability but we feared that it just wouldn’t click for him. That was then and this is now, he’s absolutely flying at present for the syndicate and surely he’s only a decent run away from being top grade over 6 bends. His 34.19 around 4 weeks ago is good enough to win a top grade race and if he can reproduce that in the coming weeks I’m sure the owners will be popping a few corks in celebration. Star of the month goes to Hyde but surely the others are ready to hit a run of form.

What’s Been Happening

Droopys Nuka seems to have flattened out a little since her purple path around 6 weeks ago. She’s been dropped down in class and no doubt about it she’s better than she is showing at present and it’s only a matter of time till she lands the gold medal again. Meenagh Mourinho has returned to the delight of his owners but he’s still lacking a bit of fitness that seen him produce a stunning back in July beating Guys & Dolls runner-up Special Story. Like Nuka it’s only a matter of time till he turns a corner and when he does he’ll go back up through the grades pretty quickly. That leaves us with the enigmatic pup Jacobs Fire who seems to be able beat everything around Crayford up until the 5th bend but just struggles to get home. She really is a bitch stuck between trips but we’re hoping with age and experience she’ll see her races out much better.

The Week Ahead

Jacobs Fire isn’t declared as of yet but we’re expecting her to continue her progression over 6 bends with the view to maybe give her a look elsewhere in time.

Droopys Hyde is going to have a few hard assignments moving forward but he’s in-form and he’s capable of producing decent efforts.

Droopys Nuka is ready to turn a corner, once she gets her favoured T6 she should be able to take control of these mid-grade races.

Meenagh Mourinho, not showing his usual level of form but like Nuka he’s coming back to himself at home and we’re in no doubt within a few weeks he’ll be firing all cylinders.

And as always, we’ll have greyhound tips every day through the week too, including any races involving our syndicate dogs.
