Adrian Wall is back with his weekly feast of ITV Racing Outsiders and he has picked out three horses who should outrun their large odds on Saturday. Make sure you check out our free horse racing tips for the weekend, and remember, always bet responsibly.
As you will see from this article, I predict Neil Callan could have a very good day on Saturday and he rides Allezdancer (10-1) for trainer Kevin Ryan in the opening 6f handicap. He didn’t run too well here this time last year but he bolted up at Newmarket in April and was better than the bare result when 10th in a big field at York in May. Ryan’s stable is in great form at present and money for this horse would be no surprise.
His losing run stretches back to 2019 and he has the burden of top weight, but Faylaq (16-1) must have solid credentials in the Northumberland Vase after missing out on the Plate by one spot. He has only had two starts for his new yard to date and both were full of promise. Faylaq travelled powerfully for a long way when second at Hamilton on his stable debut in May and he did the very same when third there a week later. He should be bang there.
In what is always a very competitive race, Calling The Wind (14-1) looks the bet to me at the prices in the Northumberland Plate for trainer Richard Hughes with Neil Callan in the plate. King has won this race twice since 2019 and this horse has some All Weather form to his name. He arrives here off the back of a brilliant second in the Ascot Stakes and can run off the same mark back on an artificial surface.
