Marine Nationale’s jockey heads to Cheltenham for one ride on Saturday ✈️

Michael O’Sullivan announced himself in a big way at his first Cheltenham Festival in March. The Irish claimer was imperious aboard Marine Nationale in the Supreme and went on to complete a double on the day. Still claiming 3lb, he heads over to Cheltenham on Saturday for just one ride. Curiously his sole ride is for Nigel Twiston-Davies, which appears to be noteworthy. You can check out our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.

12.40 Cheltenham

Weveallbeencaught won a novice hurdle here last season but didn’t quite hit the heights he was expected to. He was a reasonable seventh in the Albert Bartlett in March but that run came either side of a couple of disappointing efforts. Nigel Twiston-Davies’ charge has always given the impression that he’ll be seen to best effect over fences and there should be more to come.

Beginning the season with a fair third behind Flooring Porter here, he found stablemate Broadway Boy far too good in a Listed race at the November meeting. He makes the switch to handicap company this time which looks like the smart move. It’s likely that he’ll thrive in this sphere and plenty of improvement could be on the cards.

O’Sullivan’s 3lb claim is an absolute freebie and could prove to be a massive advantage. He has already gained the attention of Willie Mullins and Gordon Elliott and clearly the British trainers are starting to take note. It would be rude to call him a good prospect, as he’s already arrived at the top level but the potential to go even further is definitely there.
