Lucky 15: Dan Skelton heads to Hereford after sensational Saturday six-timer 🍀

It’s fair to say that Saturday was an excellent day for the Dan Skelton yard, as they managed to pull of a magnificent 3,318-1 across the card six-timer. Confidence will certainly be high within the yard and they’re set to have four runners at Hereford on Monday. With this in mind, we’ve combined his runners into a Lucky 15. 1.07 Hereford

Juventus De Brion finished third at Exeter on his hurdles debut and stayed on well in the final furlong, despite being a little outpaced. It’s also worth noting that the first two home appear to be useful and the form looks pretty good on that evidence. The step up to this extended 2m3f is highly likely to suit on that evidence and this looks like a good opportunity to get off the mark.

2.07 Hereford

I Look How I Look has a bit to find on what we’ve seen from her so far. Her best effort to date was a seven-and-three-quarter-length fourth in a Ludlow bumper back in October. Low grade handicaps should be much more to her liking, having shown little in three starts over hurdles so far. An opening mark of 84 is pretty low so we could see some improvement in this sphere.

3.37 Hereford

Major Fortune has shown improvement since switching to handicaps and managed to get off the mark over an extended 2m4f at Market Rasen last time out. A 3lb rise in the weights seems more than fair and further progress could be on the cards here.

4.10 Hereford

Mokoro is completely unraced, which makes it hard to know what to expect on debut. This £40,000 purchase’s dam is related to a couple of winners but was well held on her only start. Dan Skelton does have a 25 per cent strike-rate with bumper newcomers at Hereford and his charge probably shouldn’t be ruled out with that in mind.
