We’ve got another busy weekend of racing action coming up and there will be eight races televised live on ITV. Newbury will be hosting five of them, whilst the other three come from Warwick. You won’t want to miss the three Grade 2s on offer, or the feature race of the day, the William Hill Hurdle.

Last Round (40/1, Boylesports) showed some potential when runner-up on the second of his point-to-point starts. He then fetched £55,000 at the sales but was far too keen over hurdles at Ludlow last month and his finishing effort suffered as a result. Likely to improve for the run and the experience, the drop in trip should help him to settle and much more is expected this time around.
Kapal Layar (11/1, bet365) improved through the season last term and managed to get off the mark in a Chepstow maiden, where he scored by a comfortable margin. Winning well again upon returning to handicaps next time, he’s better than his two efforts so far this season suggest and the combination of wind surgery and a step up in trip should help his cause.
Wellington Arch (25/1, bet365) won a valuable race over further at Aintree in April and that form gives him every chance. The son of Blue Bresil was entitled to need the run when pretty average at Windsor last time out and the 1lb drop in the weights should be beneficial.
