We’ve got another busy Saturday with some excellent racing to look forward to. Nine races will be shown live on ITV, including the Bobbyjo Chase at Fairyhouse. Kempton‘s quality fixture provides the best racing in Britain, whilst Lingfield and Newcastle are also represented. With that in mind, Liam Bramall has picked out three potentially overpriced tips who look well set to outrun their substantial odds. Take a look at our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.
Charlus (20/1, bet365) has recently joined Dan Skelton from Willie Mullins and the step up in trip could make a big difference here. The five-year-old stayed well on the Flat and remains very lightly raced over hurdles. Making his handicap debut here, there could well be more to come.
Val Dancer (11/1, Betfred) won the Welsh Grand National back in 2024 and his current mark is just 3lb higher. Mel Rowley’s gelding produced a good performance to finish third in the Becher at Aintree on his penultimate start and a return to winning ways could be on the cards.
Intense Raffles (25/1, bet365) is the outsider of the field here but probably doesn’t deserve to be. He has won three of his four course starts and his sole defeat came by a narrow margin when second in this race last year. The Grand Nationals weights are out now, so we could see a much improved performance.
Leader In The Park (14/1, bet365) won a very competitive novice handicap here last season and that race usually works out well. Ben Pauling has booked Harry Cobden for the ride, which is certainly an eye-catching move, and three miles will suit if his 56-length point-to-point success is anything to go by.
