Liam Bramall’s Cheltenham Festival bets start with a 10-1 Gordon Elliott horse 💪

All looks set for an awesome weekend of racing action with Grade 1 action on Saturday and Sunday. We’ll get pointers for the Arkle and the Champion Chase from Sandown on Saturday. There’s also three Grade 1s at Fairyhouse on Sunday, featuring the potential return of Honeysuckle. Liam Bramall has waded through it all and uncovered a potential Cheltenham Festival winner who could appear this weekend. Turners Novices’ Chase

A two-time Grade 1 winner over hurdles, Mighty Potter could continue his chasing career in the Drinmore Novice Chase at Fairyhouse on Sunday. It was a smart debut effort over fences at Down Royal when winning by a cosy three-and-a-half lengths. Gordon Elliott’s charge should improve a tonne for that and there’s be plenty more to come.

Despite winning two Grade 1s over two miles last year, longer trips will be his cup of tea from now on. The Turners would be the logical Festival target for this horse. Sunday’s race will tell us more but I suspect this horse has what it takes to go all the way this season. A relative of Paddy Power Gold Cup runner-up French Dynamite, he’ll thrive at this trip before going up in trip again when older.

If all the big guns show up on Sunday, the Drinmore could be an early season clash to savour. One of Mighty Potter’s biggest threats could be stablemate Three Stripe Life. Also a Grade 1 winner as a hurdler, his form perhaps isn’t as strong my selection. It’s also worth noting that Mighty Potter came out on top at Leopardstown over Christmas when the pair last clashed.
