Joseph O’Brien bids to follow up 471/1 four-timer with 44/1 Dundalk double

Monday was a good day for Joseph O’Brien, as he managed to pull off an awesome 471/1 four-timer at Galway. Those four winners included a half-brother to Derby runner-up Ambiente Friendly that could progress further. O’Brien has five runners split across both maidens on the card at Dundalk on Wednesday, each with varying chances.

We’ve picked out his two best chances and combined them into an interesting double, which could be worth following. Check out our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing and best of luck with your Wednesday punting!

3.44 Dundalk

Cradle Of Love (9/1, bet365) is yet to get off the mark after seven starts but the daughter of Kodiac looks more than capable of getting her head in front sooner rather than later. She came within half-a-length of scoring over an extended 6f at Listowel in June. Connections deemed her good enough to take her chance in the Albany at Royal Ascot and the Group 2 Airlie Stud Stakes but struggled at that level. One would imagine winning a maiden isn’t beyond her however and an official rating of 83 suggests she has every chance.

4.15 Dundalk

Hostility (7/2, bet365) finished fourth in a hot maiden at the Curragh on debut, which was won by Futurity Trophy runner-up Delacroix. The second and fifth have also won since and it won’t be long before this son of No Nay Never follows suit. He bumped into another impressive Ballydoyle winner when runner-up at Listowel next time and was well clear of the third. Aidan O’Brien’s two runners appear to be the main dangers once again but Wayne Hassett’s 5lb claim will certainly come in handy.
