Jonjo & A J O’Neill send one runner on the 666-mile round trip to Musselburgh

Jonjo & A J O’Neill are yet to have a runner at Musselburgh since the latter joined his father on the training license. That could be set to change on Friday however as the pair have entered one runner at the Scottish track.

2.20 Musselburgh

All The Glory was an impressive winner of a Grade 2 limited handicap hurdle at Newbury back in March and would have every chance if producing a similar performance here. The form has worked out particularly well since, with the third, fourth and fifth all winning subsequently.

Things haven’t quite gone to plan since, as she was an early faller in the Swinton Hurdle and her three subsequent runs have been pretty underwhelming. The seven-year-old returned at Wincanton earlier this month after a break and ran like she needed it.

There is some good news related to her below-par performances however as the handicapper has dropped her 4lb since hitting a career-high mark of 123. Her impressive Newbury success came off 115 and the mare’s current mark is just 4lb higher, with the drop in grade also likely to help.

It’s worth noting that 10lb claimer Benjamin Macey comes in for the ride and that allowance could make a significant difference here. A return to winning ways can’t be ruled out but she does need to find a bit of form for that to be on the agenda.
