Jockey with 75 per cent return at Fontwell travels there for one ride on Tuesday 💪

Young rider Harry Kimber is a real up and coming young star going places in the game, and he is excellent value for his claim. He travels to Fontwell Racecourse for just one ride on Tuesday which is interesting enough, but it becomes even more interesting when you look at his record at the track already this season.

Kimber has ridden just four times at the track this season, but three of them have won, returning a level stakes profit of roughly £26 to £1 unit stakes. All three winners came back in May, where he rode Coal Stock to victory twice at short odds but also rode 25-1 winner Whatcoloristhewind for Seamus Mullins. Let’s take a look at his sole ride on Tuesday.

Just the three runners are set to go to post for the Sky Sports Racing HD Virgin 535 Handicap Hurdle, and Kimber will get the leg up on likely favourite Soul Icon. Trained by Keiran Burke, this horse has won four of his last five starts over hurdles and he produced a career best when bolting up at Uttoxeter off a mark of 93 when last seen in June.

It was clever of connections to give this five-year-old a short break as he had been racing quite a lot, and now freshened up he could be able to shrug off a further 8lb penalty. His two opponents have plenty to prove at present, for all it is never wise to rule out a Nicky Henderson runner in a race of this nature. He should be well up to winning but he will be short odds to do so.
