Jockey with 11 winners from his last 14 rides heads to Wincanton for two on Wednesday

Britain’s hottest jockey has an amazing record of 11 winners from his last 14 rides and it’s therefore noteworthy that he heads to Wincanton on Wednesday. Scheduled to take two rides, one of which is for a bang in-form trainer, there will surely be plenty of interested parties. Jockey to follow

Ben Jones is the jockey in question and his strike-rate in the last fortnight is a whopping 63 per cent. With a grand total of 12 winners from 19 rides, he’s the jockey to follow at the moment. He’ll get two bites of the cherry here and one ride appears to have a better chance than the other.

One of his two rides is for regular boss Ben Pauling who has also been in fine form of late. Pauling is operating at a strike-rate of 50 per cent, with 11 winners from his 22 runners in the last 14 days.

1.33 Wincanton

Bank On Frank finished second in a point-to-point for Tom Ellis before joining the Ben Pauling yard and we’ll need to see some improvement on the evidence of his three hurdles starts to date. It’s unlikely that we’ve seen the best of him but he’ll perhaps flourish over further and in handicaps.

3.05 Wincanton

Cast’s Tasha represents the Ben Clarke yard and the eight-year-old was a game winner at Ffos Las in November. She is currently on a 4lb higher mark and if replicating the level of form shown when second in a Class 3 at Sandown on her penultimate start, a return to winning ways could be on the agenda.
