Jamie Spencer is one of the most experienced jockeys around and he’s been based in Britain for quite some time now. He doesn’t tend to head back over to Ireland too regularly in recent years and has only had three rides at Dundalk. It could therefore be significant that heads to Ireland’s only all-weather track on Friday for just one ride.
We’ve taken a detailed look at the horse in question’s chances below and she’s trained by the in-form Henry de Bromhead. Check out our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing but please remember to gamble responsibly and keep it fun!
Nuit showed plenty on debut at Naas when finishing third behind an expensive Ballydoyle colt. The daughter of Sea The Stars ran well for a long way but just couldn’t sustain her challenge in the final furlong. She’s entitled to improve significantly for the run and the experience won’t be lost on her.
Trainer Henry de Bromhead has been in good form of late and is operating at a healthy strike-rate in the last couple of weeks. This filly is entitled to be in the mix if improving from her debut but this looks like quite a warm maiden for the time of year.
Joseph O’Brien’s Dancing Teapot is in opposition here and she wouldn’t need to improve much on her narrow second on debut here earlier this month. Carolina Jetstream runs for Adrian Murray and her first two efforts suggest she’ll be winning races sooner rather than later.
It’s certainly interesting that Spencer has been booked for the ride and it indicates that Nuit isn’t there to make up the numbers.
