ITV horses for courses: five specialists form monster 1,586-1 acca on Saturday 😱

Jump racing is well and truly back this weekend. We’ve got a mouth-watering clash between Bravemansgame and Ahoy Senor to enjoy as the highlight of the day. Wetherby and Ascot both have terrific cards with four races from each being live on ITV. Picking winners is never easy, especially in competitive races. Certain horses act at certain courses so we’ve selected five such specialists and placed them in a monster accumulator. 2.25 Wetherby

Molly Ollys Wishes (11-8, William Hill) has a perfect record at this track, winning her only start. Conveniently, that win came in this race last year. This year’s renewal looks easier and back-to-back wins in this race could well be on the cards.

2.40 Ascot

Before Midnight (9-2, William Hill) also has a 100 per cent, winning his only start over course and distance back in November. That victory came off a 3lb lower mark so he should go well here. Perhaps his best piece of form was finishing second to the subsequent Champion Chase runner-up off 1lb higher.

3.00 Wetherby

Indefatigable (7-2, Boylesports) is a terrifically brave and gutsy mare who is always a credit to connections. She won this race last year in good style with Paisley Park in behind. Finishing second over two miles on her only other start here, the formbook suggests she’ll run her race again.

3.15 Ascot

Annsam (8-1, William Hill) won over course and distance in December in smooth fashion. That success came on good-to-soft ground which is the same as the current going conditions. Went up 5lb for that win and has only been seen once over fences since. There should be more to come over the larger obstacles.

3.35 Wetherby

Ahoy Senor (2-1, William Hill) beat the Grand National winner by five-and-a-half lengths on his sole start at Wetherby. Did well to finish second in the Brown Advisory at Cheltenham as he didn’t look the easiest of rides that day. Bounced back emphatically at Aintree next time and will be tough to beat here.
