ITV betting pointers: Four horses to follow on Friday including a 50/1 shot

Exeter Racecourse

Exeter hosts it’s best meeting of the year on Friday and ITV will be showing four races live. We’ve had a good look at every race and picked out a particularly noteworthy runner in each. These include an American-trained runner that is available at massive odds of 50/1. Check out our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.

1.50 Exeter

Grade 1-winning hurdler Captain Teague makes his chasing debut at Exeter and trainer Paul Nicholls really does love this horse. He was particularly vocal about the six-year-old in his recent stable tour and you would imagine Cheltenham is on the agenda further down the line.

2.25 Exeter

Paul Nicholls holds the record for most wins in the Haldon Gold Cup with eight and four of those have come in the last decade. Dual winner Greaneteen was his most recent scorer back in 2022 and he’s represented by Sans Bruit this time around.

3.00 Exeter

David Pipe and Harry Cobden have combined twice in the last fortnight and both horses were successful. The pair are represented by Micronormous here and although recent form suggests she’ll need to improve, the six-year-old remains lightly raced and progress can’t be ruled out.

3.35 Exeter

Jeremy Pass won three races under rules in Britain and Ireland but now finds himself in the US with trainer Joseph G Davies. This runner brings a whole new meaning to the term long distance traveller and was last seen in the Velka Pardubicka. A mark of 128 shouldn’t be beyond him on the evidence of his best form but odds of 50/1 suggest he’s up against it.
