The weather is causing havoc across Britain at the moment but hopefully the ITV action from Kempton and Warwick will go ahead. ITV racing means outsider selections and we’re back with three more picks for Saturday’s racing. They include two 22/1 shots and an 18/1 selection. Take a look at our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.
Dissident (18/1, Betfred) was a winner over hurdles at the second time of asking and the yard tends to do well with juvenile hurdlers. The Gary & Josh Moore-trained four-year-old showed a good attitude to score at Doncaster last month and he also avoids a penalty for that success. Whilst the favourite looks quite hard to beat, there are three places on offer and this horse looks well up to filling one of them.
King Of The Lake (22/1, bet365) represents the Jeremy Scott yard and 7lb claimer Chad Bament has struck up a good relationship with the eight-year-old. The pair were victorious again at Chepstow over further when last seen and if this turns into a stamina test, he’ll be staying on at the finish. His chances may well be better than these odds suggest.
Green Book (22/1, Betfred) was a very smart staying handicap hurdler a few seasons ago but a bad injury led to a lengthy absence. He made his return after 996 days off the track at Sandown last month and it’s no surprise that he needed the run. Fourth in the Pertemps final at Cheltenham before that, it’s hard to ignore his old form and he’s capable of running a huge race.
