Irish trainer sends 28-1 horse on 870-mile round trip to Kempton on Wednesday

Westmeath-based trainer Adrian Murray is well able to train a big-priced winner at the highest level, and it has to be hugely interesting that the handler will send one horse on the 870-mile round trip to Kempton Racecourse on Wednesday. Let’s take a look at the horse in more detail below, but you can also find all of our free horse racing tips on the website too.

7.30 Kempton

The feature race of the night at Kempton is the Listed Wild Flower Stakes over 1m4f, and the three-year-old son of Arrogate, Elegant Man, is an interesting Irish raider participating in the contest.

Owned by Amo Racing Limited, the colt was well backed for his debut at Dundalk over just shy of 1m3f in October. He was slowly away, but got motoring once they turned for home and he went on to win the race in the manner of a good horse.

Looking at the form of the race, that also bodes well as the third, fourth and fifth have all come out and won since so there is real substance to the form which is encouraging.

Elegant Man also had to contend with a very wide draw in stall 16 on the night, so despite having to deal with adversity on his first start, he showed a lot of class to win the way he did.

Godolphin’s Rebel Romance is likely to go off a short price for this race and rightly so. The son of Dubawi is a three-time Group 1 winner and this represents a huge drop in grade so he could be very hard to beat.
