In-form Anthony McCann sends three on the 580-mile round trip to Wolverhampton

Monaghan-based trainer Anthony McCann has started to send a good few runners across the water in recent times, and he has sent 20 runners across to Wolverhampton this year and four of them have won.

It has to be interesting that the handler will send three horses on the 580-mile round trip to Wolverhampton Racecourse on Monday from his base in Castleblaney.

McCann has a decent strike rate at the track but it costs a fair sum to bring them across. Let’s take a look at the horses in more detail below, but you can also find all of our free horse racing tips on the website too.

McCann runs two in the opening 6f handicap. Circles won at the track in January and was a big eyecatcher at Dundalk when last seen, badly hampered and short of room when trying to make a challenge. She drops down in class here and has an obvious chance. The other runner of his is Big Dream, who will be ridden by Tommie Jakes. This horse was second over course and distance here recently and looks sure to be involved again, but could be the pace horse for Circles to attack possibly.

8.30 Wolverhampton

The last runner on the night for the McCann team is Little Empire, who will have Tommie Jakes aboard too. The gelding won a 0-55 over course and distance when last seen, but will find 0-60 company tougher up in the weights. He arrives here in top form though and there’s a chance he could still be ahead of the handicapper and looks set for a big run.
