Horses for courses: Wolverhampton specialists form a Lucky 15 on Thursday 🍀

There are numerous factors to consider when trying to pick out a winner. One particularly important one is previous course form. Some horses act particularly well at certain tracks and this can give them an advantage. With this in mind, we’ve picked out four runners at Wolverhampton on Thursday with excellent track records and combined them into a Lucky 15 for you to consider. 7.00 Wolverhampton

Nolton Cross clearly loves Wolverhampton as three of his four career wins have come here. Hugo Palmer’s charge has finished in the first two in five of his six starts at the track and he has every chance of doing so again. He bolted up off this mark over 1m4f here back in March and has to go under close consideration on that evidence.

7.30 Wolverhampton

Beauty Choice has had four starts at Wolverhampton and has two wins and a second to his name. This includes a course and distance victory off a 1lb higher mark on his last start here, back in October 2022. Michael & David Easterby’s charge returned to winning ways at Pontefract last month and another big run could be on the cards.

8.00 Wolverhampton

Nelson Gay is unbeaten in three starts at Wolverhampton and the most recent of those wins came in September. His current mark is just 1lb and he should be capable of getting his head in front once again. Rhys Clutterbuck was on board for that last win and he returns to take the ride here.

8.30 Wolverhampton

Daheer is a five-time course winner who is yet to win at any other track. Mark Loughnane’s six-year-old hasn’t won since April 2022, where he scored over an extended 1m1f. He came close to getting his head in front when second by a neck here in May and was a solid fifth over course and distance last time out. The handicapper has since dropped him 1lb and this could be his night.
