Course form can be absolutely crucial when looking for a winner. If you know your way around a place, you are going to have an advantage over somebody who has never been there before. The same applies to horses – knowing your way around a venue is always a big advantage. Adrian Wall has picked out three former course winners running at Kelso on ITV on Saturday.
We landed a tasty 67/1 treble at Ascot a few weeks ago and this week’s treble returns great odds at the time of posting. Best of luck if you have a play.
Cadell won a novices’ hurdle here on his second career start under rules and Lucinda Russell’s seven-year-old could gain a second course win here. He has produced a mixed bag since sent chasing, but impressed when winning a three-runner affair at Wetherby early in the season. Outclassed in a Grade 2 and in the Edinburgh National on his last two outings, perhaps Russell will have him spot on for this much easier assignment back down in trip.
Wyenot is the myracing NAP of the day and we will be disappointed if the mare isn’t up to winning this Listed contest. Henry Daly’s mare has won five of her nine hurdles starts and was far from disgraced when third in a Grade 2 at Doncaster when last seen.
Ashington won over C&D back in September and arrives here off the back of an impressive win off 115 at Doncaster last week under this 7lb rider. The reinstating of cheekpieces worked the oracle on the day and they are retained. He’s a big player turned out quickly from 4lb higher.
