The ITV cameras are out again on Saturday and they will be showing six races from Newmarket and Haydock. There are two Group 1s on offer at Newmarket, the Middle Park and Cheveley Park, whilst Haydock provides some competitive handicap action.
That means we’ve got some more outsiders on offer and this time there are four selections. These include a potentially overpriced filly in one of the Group 1s who may have been unfairly overlooked in the betting. Take a look at our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.
King Of Light (16/1, bet365) finished second by a neck off a 2lb higher mark at Chepstow in August and he would have every chance if reproducing that form. Stuart Williams’ gelding won a course and distance nursery last term and looks well treated on his current mark.
Anthelia (22/1, bet365) represents the Rod Millman yard and might have been overlooked here. Her form is rock-solid is hard to ignore and this race looks wide-open. It doesn’t appear to be a vintage renewal and if any outsider can come out on top, it will be her.
Brussels (16/1, Betfred) left a good impression when beating stablemate Kansas on debut and was far from disgraced when fourth in the July Stakes. The division’s best colts haven’t turned up here so it would be no surprise if Aidan O’Brien’s runner picks up the pieces.
Urban Lion (33/1, bet365) won a Class 2 event at Sandown with plenty in hand back in June and came close to going in again at Ascot’s Shergar Cup fixture. Jack Channon’s gelding remains relatively lightly raced and it would be no surprise if there was a little more to come from him.
