Her first runners at the track! Irish trainer goes on the 466-mile round trip to Ffos Las

County Meath-based handler Sheila Lavery will send her first ever runners across to Ffos Las Racecourse in Wales on Wednesday, and that surely could be a tip in itself as it’s a fairly awkward spot to get to. In total, the return journey is 466 miles and she isn’t going there to make up the numbers! Make sure you check out our free horse racing tips on the website!

The first of Lavery’s runners is Tino Pai who will take her chance in the 5f sprint handicap. The daughter of Soldier’s Call is 0-15 and has had plenty of runs for a three-year-old, but the pick of her best form should bring her right into the picture here.

Her best efforts have come since the start of the year, notably when runner-up to Tropical Retreat in a Dundalk maiden over this trip. That winner is now rated 79 on turf and she was only narrowly beaten on the day, so a mark of 57 here could prove to be very lenient.

Tino Pai was beaten only a length or so in a Bellewstown maiden on her latest start and if things drop right for her, she should have a chance to finally open her account.

Another who is winless from 11 starts, Breathe Again is bidding to break her duck in the 1m4f handicap. This trip will have to be taken on trust as she didn’t seem to stay 1m2f at the Curragh on her latest start, and she has never gone any further than that.

A mark of 62 does look workable but of the pair, she probably looks the most dodgy.
