Saturday afternoon racing means that the ITV cameras are out and the end of the Flat season will soon be upon us. We still have a few more weeks of quality action to look forward to though and there are are two Group 1s on offer at Newmarket. Haydock‘s two best handicaps also join the schedule and there are six races in total. Here we select three previous course winners to combine into a treble and it’s a monster bet. Check out our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.
Blue Storm (7/1, Boylesports) was entitled to need the run when sixth here on seasonal debut, which was his first start for 315 days. He won this race last year and currently finds himself on just a 1lb higher mark. Gemma Tutty hasn’t been in the best of form lately but it only takes one horse to buck the trend and Blue Storm could be the one to do it.
Hawksbill (12/1, Boylesports) was fairly highly tried as a juvenile and even rain in the Royal Lodge this time last year. Hugo Palmer’s gelding has been relatively consistent without winning this term but he was a nsoe away from scoring over course and distance last month. His sole victory came in a novice here last summer and he’s competitive off this mark.
Fort George (9/1, Boylesports) won here over a mile on handicap and seasonal debut back in May. He returned to winning ways with an impressive win at Newbury and remains lightly raced. There could be more to come, despite a 9lb rise, and Oisin Murphy has been booked for the ride.
