‘He will take all the beating’ – Patrick Mullins has his first ever ride at Lingfield on Monday

The powerhouse that is Willie Mullins will make another venture to British soil on Monday and this time the Closutton team will grace Lingfield. Mullins’ son Patrick will be taking a ride at the track for the very first time, although this will be Willie’s fourth runner on the all-weather here. You will find all of our daily horse racing tips on the website but let’s look at this horse in more detail below now.

12.30 Lingfield

Willie and Patrick’s tour of Britain continues on Monday as Full Confession bids to follow up his Fairyhouse bumper victory in the opening 2m bumper, which will be run on the all-weather track.

He won a Dromohane point-to-point back in April before being picked up for €60,000 at the Goffs Punchestown sale, and made no mistake at the first time of asking under rules when justifying being sent off an odds-on favourite.

Full Confession has a good bit of Flat prowess in his pedigree. His dam was a maiden and only posted a Racing Post Rating of 47, but she is a half-sister to John Oxx’s Irish 2,000 Guineas runner-up Adjareli back in 1995.

That boy was best on a rattling surface so the all-weather shouldn’t prove to be an issue for Willie Mullins’ runner, and given only one of his other six rivals have seen a racetrack to date, this does look like a golden opportunity to make it a perfect two from two.

If there is to be a danger, then it could turn out to be Muddle In The Sky. The Moores are in fine form and had a couple of bumper winners recently so any money for that one would be significant.
